1. Overview
Hashi Money Wiring LLC operates as a Money Services Business (MSB) registered with the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and as a money transmitter licensed by the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions. We operate in accordance with applicable U.S. financial regulations, including AML and KYC requirements.
2. Compliance program
We maintain a written AML compliance program reasonably designed to prevent the use of our services for money laundering, terrorist financing or other unlawful activity. The program is overseen by a designated AML/Compliance Officer and is reviewed periodically.
3. Customer Identification Program (CIP)
Before opening an account, we collect and verify identifying information from each customer. For individuals, this typically includes full legal name, date of birth, residential address, country of residence, and a government-issued identification document. We may use third-party identity verification providers and request additional documentation.
4. Customer due diligence
We perform risk-based customer due diligence, including, where appropriate, source-of-funds inquiries and enhanced due diligence for higher-risk customers. We may decline to open an account, or restrict an existing account, where we are unable to satisfy our due diligence requirements.
5. Transaction monitoring
We monitor activity on customer accounts for unusual or suspicious patterns. Our monitoring may incorporate blockchain analytics and rules-based alerts. We may delay, decline, freeze or reverse transactions where necessary to comply with applicable law or our internal policies.
6. Sanctions screening
We screen customers and counterparties against U.S. sanctions lists administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and other applicable lists. We do not knowingly provide services to sanctioned persons or to persons in comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions.
7. Reporting & recordkeeping
We maintain records and file reports as required under the Bank Secrecy Act and applicable state law, which may include Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports. Records are generally retained for at least five years.
8. Training & oversight
Personnel with AML responsibilities receive periodic training appropriate to their role. The AML program is subject to periodic independent review.
9. Prohibited activity
You may not use our services for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, market manipulation, illegal gambling, or any activity in violation of applicable law. We reserve the right to take appropriate action, including suspending or closing accounts and reporting activity to authorities.
10. Cooperation with authorities
We cooperate with regulators and law enforcement to the extent required by law. Customer information may be shared with authorities pursuant to lawful requests.
